As a leading international supplier of paints and coatings systems, our core mission has always been to protect substrates and extend the lifespan of objects. This proactive approach not only prevents premature replacement but also preserves value and conserves resources.
As one of the largest full-range suppliers, we provide our customers with a diverse array of paints and coatings – all from a single source. This consolidation shortens supply chains and reduces resource consumption.
We aim to establish sustainable operations and promote responsible consumption for positive impacts on the environment, society and the economy. Globally, we create employment opportunities and ensure that our working conditions adhere to the highest safety and social standards.
Our initiatives support social justice, inclusion, and thriving communities. In recognition of our societal responsibilities, we donate every year to local children’s facilities, children’s health initiatives, and various youth sports programs. By leveraging knowledge, skills, and talent, we drive innovation and positive societal impact.
We emphasize ethical standards, honesty, and accountability to build trust, credibility, and lasting relationships.
Our sustainability goals are anchored in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Out of the 17 goals we have integrated eight into our five sustainability objectives, which we aim to achieve by 2030:
- Achieve a 30% reduction in scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions (baseline 2021)
- Realize a 20% reduction in water withdrawal (baseline 2021)
- Accomplish a 30% reduction in waste generated in our operations (baseline 2021)
- Reach a 20% reduction in energy consumption (baseline 2021)
- Achieve a 1.5 or less frequency of occupational accidents (according to ILO)
- Assess 80% of targeted suppliers through a CSR evaluation
- Attain a minimum of 30% of all sales derived from sustainable products
- Ensure 50% or more containers are recycled
- Allocate a 10% or our annual marketing budget to support local children’s development, health, and sports programs
- Ensure that 100% of employees have access to participate in the employee engagement survey
- Ensure 100% of employees’ familiarity with KANSAI HELIOS COATINGS values
- Strive for 80% of Research and Development (R&D) projects to focus on sustainable products
- Ensure that 100% of our employees complete at least one compliance and integrity training annually
- Achieve 0 confirmed incidents of corruption
- Provide an effective and transparent grievance system accessible to all employees
